EFT encourages us to "try it on everything". It made me realize that we can even use it to move beyond astrological stereotypes.
On the way to the U.S. Open title in 2007, Roger Federer played Andy Roddick. Roddick played a great game and came close, but just didn't win. Andy is a Virgo and Federer is a Leo.....and as 'everybody' knows, a Virgo can't outshine a Leo.......or can he? With EFT, maybe he can.
Roger Federer was born on August 8, 1981 in Basel, Switzerland. He was born under the sign of Leo, and Leos just exude a confidence, a knowing, that they are 'special' - after all it is the sign of royalty. Leos love the limelight. They love to entertain and make people happy. They usually love children, and quite frequently they excel in sports. Being on center court for Federer for the U.S. Open Title is almost a 'given'; it's a natural place for him to be. He has been No. 1 in the world since 2004, and is generally considered the greatest player the tennis world has ever seen.
Then, you have Andy Roddick. Andy was born on August 30, 1982 in Omaha, Nebraska. He is a Virgo, the sign of service. Virgos are the king makers, not the king...or so they say. Virgos are the servants, the secretaries, the agents, the librarians, the nurses, the cpas; the detail oriented people who toil behind the scenes and often make Leo-types look good.
And, isn't that what Roddick did? He played a great game, he came close, but in the finals, he made Federer look good. He was a good Virgo, he excelled at what he does best, set it up for the Leo to shine.
But, does he always have to be the bridesmaid and never the bride? He does win and he was No. 1 in the world in 2003 (before Federer came in to his own and claimed the title in 2004 and never lost it); the same year he won the U.S. Open. But he didn't stay there for long. What is it in a Virgo that doesn't like the top spot, doesn't like to be the center of attention and doesn't feel comfortable there?
Might EFT aid a person like Roddick in this situation? Why not??? Roddick has a little bit of Leo in his chart that he can focus upon. That one planet in Leo, has given him a feeling that he can do it; he can win.....Yet, the VIrgo energy seems to let him go just so far.
I wonder what would happen if Roddick did an EFT session something like this?
Tap on the karate chop point:
"Even tho, I'm a Virgo, and Virgos aren't suppose to be the top jock, I deeply and completely accept myself.....honor and respect myself. "x3
"Even tho I've played my role to the fullest, and I come close to beating the Leos of this world, but just can't quite put it away, I deeply and completely love and accept myself, honor and respect myself."
"Even tho I was No. 1 in tennis in the world in 2003, and I've tasted the ultimate in success, but didn't stay there long, I deeply and completely love and accept myself, honor and respect myself......
"I forgive myself for believing that Virgos can't win the big one, that they shouldn't be in the spotlight. I forgive myself for believing that I was taking someone else's spot by being No. 1. I forgive myself for believing that I should know my place and be No. 2......or lower.....I forgive myself for believing that as a Virgo it is not my lot in life to excel like a Leo, or other strong sports-oriented signs. ...
"I forgive my self for my contribution to it. I forgive my parents for their contribution to it. I forgive my family for any contribution they had to it. I forgive the ancestors for their contribution to it....and I forgive the powers that be waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when who deigned that Virgo was the little brown hen and not the peacock with the brilliant plumage ...
"This is merely a physical manifestation of a blocked emotional issue - a belief instilled in Virgos since time began - and I love myself faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar too much to allow it to hold me back from being all I can be one second longer. "
Then Andy would get an intensity charge on it - #___

Each sign has it's bug a boo. ...those tendencies that limit... that were imposed on them simply for being born on a certain date, that they think - on some intrinsic level - they can't get beyond. How would other signs do better on the tennis court???
Aries: "Even tho as an Aries I want to be first, and nothing less is tolerable and my temper can get the best of me, and I lose my cool.....and it jeopardizes the match.....I choose to tap away my anger and find peace of mind."
Taurus: "Even tho as Taurus the Bull, I have a slow burn, and it builds up over a match and I get frustrated.....I choose to be Ferdinand the Bull, smelling the roses of success as I tame my temper."
Gemini: "Even tho as a Gemini I tend to analyze too much and stay in my left brain, I'd rather just let go and let the right brain instruct my body in the way it knows best. Don't think it, just do it."
Cancer: "Even tho as a Cancer, I 'd rather curl up on the couch and watch Wimbledon on tv....I choose a healthier life style and get out on the tennis court to get some exercise."
Even Leos have their bugaboos:
Leo: "Even tho as a Leo I can love the limelight too much...I can get too full of myself...I choose to to find peace in and out of the spotlight"
Virgo: "Even tho as a Virgo I tend have a perfectionist streak and would rather not do something at all than to do it poorly....I choose to let it go and accept my humanness".
Libra: "Even tho as a Libra I tend to vascillate and let the other guy win to keep harmony....I choose to allow myself to compete to the best of my ability."
Scorpio: "Even tho as a Scorpio when I play I play to win regardless.... I choose to Let go and enjoy the game...it's not life and death!!!"
Sag: "Even tho as a Sag, I too am a natural athlete, and I can take it far too seriously and actually make a religion of it....I choose to play to the best of my ability and know I did my best."
Capricorn: "Even tho as a Capricorn the yips can get to me...I choose to stop trying to control my swing and let it move thru the midline effortlessly. "
Aquarius: "Even tho as an Aquarian I can be too cerebral....I look at the larger picture and wonder if there should be a winner and a loser at all....I choose to accept a harmonious balance of competition vs. everyone plays...everyone wins."
Pisces:"Even tho as a Pisces I'd rather day dream about winning Wimbledon.... I choose to live within 'the system' and follow the rules.....oh hell, I'd rather think outside the box than play within the lines!!...let me dream!"
